Researching PTSD

To design an app for people with PTSD i first would need to know about it and about the therapy...

I also read various academic journals on treatments of PTSD

could also work with colour??

I also found this app with helps with meditation and breathing exercises my using the gyroscope or accelerometer to tell when your stomach moves up and down when breathing.

From this research I have decided that it would be too risky to try and treat PTSD with an app as it requires highly personalised therapy by a Therapist. However, I have found that there are two feasible routes to take as an addition to therapy.

1) Cognitive Behavioural Therapy- essential this deals with the thoughts people have about themselves and changes them from negative to positive.

2) Exercises or situations to help deal with stress and anxiety cause by PTSD on an everyday basis.
