researching for children with PTSD

I felt that perhaps the ways that PTSD is dealt with with kids would be different than adults so i researched it.

I found out that fpor children,  the main way of treating PTSD (with an 80% sucess rate) is by revisiting the trauma. However to do this in an app would be unreasonable as it is highly personalised and requires and expert who can judge the situation.

The second method is play therapy. this is often used in conjuncture with other treatments and is basically the child revisiting their trauma unconsciously by drawing it or playing with it. getting them to do this trivializes the trauma as something not scary and gets them used to it through repetition. these drawings also help the therapist judge the extent of the trauma and how the child deals with it.

The last thing we could use is activities to deal with stress and anxiety

I feel that this stretching and relaxing exercise is very important as it teaches the child to relax 'on command' so if they have an anxiety attack they can relax themselves. Another important exercise would be diaphragmatic breathing.
